Egypt Book of Mystery at babu software — Uncover the Secrets of Ancient Egypt
Egypt Book of Mystery, developed by PG Soft, is a video slot set in ancient Egypt, combining mysterious symbols, a free spin bonus, and multipliers into a distinctive gameplay experience. At babu software, you can play this game directly from your mobile or desktop.
What type of slot is this game?
Egypt Book of Mystery is a five-reel, three-row video slot designed by PG Soft, with a total of 10 fixed paylines. The entire visual design is built around ancient Egyptian civilisation — pyramids, hieroglyphic inscriptions, a pharaoh's mask, and mysterious scrolls. The background shows a faded desert landscape, as if you are peering inside a tomb thousands of years old.
The main symbols in the game are a gold ring, an ibis bird, a falcon deity, a blue scarab, and a mysterious book. The book symbol is the key to this slot — it acts as both wild and scatter at the same time. That means it can substitute for any regular symbol to create winning combinations, and it is also the trigger for the bonus round.
The game is designed mobile-first — even when played on a smartphone outside Dhaka, there are no scrolling issues or loading delays. PG Soft keeps all their games compatible with modern browsers.
How does a spin work?
Before the game starts, you choose your bet amount at the bottom of the screen. Egypt Book of Mystery has a set bet range per spin, and you can pick your preferred level within that range based on your budget. Pressing the Spin button sets all five reels in motion at once. When the reels stop, you win if at least three matching symbols line up from left to right on a payline.
The Auto Spin option runs a set number of spins automatically — wins and losses are updated live throughout. Auto Spin stops automatically whenever a bonus or a large win occurs.
Free Spin Bonus Round
Landing three or more Book symbols (scatters) on any reels at the same time triggers the free spin round. Before the round begins, a special expanding symbol is chosen — during the free spins, that symbol spreads across the full reel, making wins much more likely. Three scatters award 10 free spins, and if three Books land again during the round, another 10 extra free spins are added.
The maximum win in the game can reach up to 5,000× the spin bet, and it comes primarily through the expanding symbol during the free spin round.

Which type of player is this game suited for?
Egypt Book of Mystery is a medium-to-high volatility slot. Volatility refers to how often wins occur and how large they tend to be. In a low-volatility slot, small wins come frequently; in a high-volatility one, wins are less frequent but can be larger when they do arrive.
Budget-conscious players
Players who want to stick to a set budget each session can play more spins by using smaller bets. The low minimum bet makes the game accessible for newcomers as well.
For medium-length sessions
Rather than playing for a long stretch, this game gives the best experience in sessions of 30 to 60 minutes. If you have the patience to wait for the free spin round to arrive, the game is enjoyable.
Bonus-hunting players
Players whose main goal is a big win from the free spin round will find this game particularly appealing. Keep in mind though — with high volatility, your balance may drop before the bonus round arrives.
Things to know before you play — practical tips
Start in demo mode
Most PG Soft slots at babu software are available in demo mode. Playing in demo costs no real money and lets you get a clear feel for the game's features, reel behaviour, and bonus triggers. Then move on to real-money play.
Set a separate budget for each session
Decide on a fixed amount before each session. When that amount is gone, take a break for the day. Wins and losses are both part of playing slots — going beyond your budget never leads to better outcomes.
Set a stop limit
Set a stop limit for yourself — for example, stop when your balance drops by 50%, or end the session when your balance doubles. This is an effective approach to responsible play. Read the responsible gaming guidelines to learn more.
Common misconceptions about slots
There are several misconceptions about modern slots, including Egypt Book of Mystery. Being clear on these makes it easier to make informed decisions.
"It hasn't paid out in a while, so a big win must be coming"
Every spin is completely independent. The game uses an RNG (Random Number Generator), so the result of a previous spin has no effect on the next one. The idea that "a win is due" has no basis.
"I can recover losses by placing bigger bets"
Increasing bets to recover losses usually drains your balance faster. Each spin's result is independent of any previous losses. Staying within your pre-set budget is the most effective approach.
"Playing at certain times brings more wins"
A slot's RNG software does not change based on the time of day or day of the week. At 3 AM or 8 AM — the same rules of the same game apply.
"Auto Spin produces fewer wins"
Whether you use manual or auto spin, the game behaves identically. The only difference is who presses the button. The game's mathematics do not change.
How does this differ from other slots on the site?
babu software's slots section includes games from various developers such as Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming, and Big Time Gaming. Egypt Book of Mystery is built on PG Soft's own engine, so its animations and bonus mechanics feel distinct from games by other developers.
For example, Gates of Olympus (Pragmatic Play) and Sweet Bonanza use a tumble/cascade mechanic where new symbols fall in after each win. Egypt Book of Mystery does not have that mechanic — here, the expanding symbol makes the free spin round the central feature.
Slots from Nolimit City or Hacksaw Gaming — such as Fire in the Hole xBomb or Wanted Dead or a Wild — are extremely high volatility and rely on large multipliers. Egypt Book of Mystery is comparatively mid-paced — small wins can appear in the base game too, while the free spins bring the bigger opportunities.
Compared to other thematic PG Soft slots, Fortune Tiger and Mahjong Ways work within Asian themes, whereas Egypt Book of Mystery offers a distinct visual experience drawn from Egyptian mythology. For players who prefer a different theme, it holds its own appeal.
